Meet Dr. Farooq

Dr. Shaz Farooq is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist who received his dental degree from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. He completed his postgraduate general practice residency at NY Presbyterian Weill Cornell Hospital, and his pediatric dental residency at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Dr. Farooq brings a high level of compassion and empathy to the treatment of his patients. He prides himself on clearly explaining the dental procedures and the treatment plans to the parents. Dr. Farooq’s focus is to integrate high clinical standards with the best dental experience for the children. Dr. Farooq strives to connect with each patient, provide a fun atmosphere at the dental office for the children, and provide appropriate advice for parents to have the best dental health for their children.

Outside of the office, you will find Dr. Farooq traveling with his wife, playing basketball, golf, tennis and pickleball with his friends and family. He also enjoys staying up to date and continuing his dental education by reading studies and articles recently published in the field of pediatric dentistry.
